German roaches. A small roach in a restaurant kitchen, a bar or a rental unit means an indoor infestation, not a visitor, and in food service it's a health-code issue. We treat, document with a sighting log, and schedule the follow-up before we leave — German roaches always need one. 

Roof rats. Seawalls, mangroves, dock lines, palm skirts and the hardwood hammock at Crane Point all give roof rats cover, and from a dock line to a roof is one climb. Noise at night and hollowed-out fruit are the signs. We trap and remove, then seal entry points smaller than a fist.

Mosquitoes. The black salt-marsh mosquito is the most common mosquito in the Keys and blows in from offshore islands; Aedes breed in buckets, planters and bromeliads at the property. Fogging and barrier treatments for yards, pool decks, docks and patios, typically holding three to four weeks. Inspections are free.

American roaches (palmetto bugs). They live in the landscaping, under dock boards and in hollow palms and come in after rain. Perimeter treatment, entry points sealed.

Ghost ants. The tiny, nearly clear ants on the counter — in homes and in restaurant prep areas alike. Gel baits the colony carries home, plus a perimeter treatment.

Silverfish. Rentals and second homes that sit closed up are humid silverfish habitat. We treat harborage areas and recommend keeping the A/C running when the unit is empty.

Wasps. Nests under eaves, in palms, on boats and around docks and fish-cleaning stations. We remove and treat them safely.
