Florida City Pest Control

Hotels, restaurants, homes & farm properties

at the gateway to the Keys and the Everglades

Florida City is the last stop before the Keys — the end of the Turnpike, the start of US-1 south, and a strip of hotels, motels and restaurants that turns over every night with travelers headed to Key Largo or the Everglades. Behind the strip, the city sits on the Rock Ridge with farmland and the East Glade's marsh right at its edge. That's a pest mix most companies don't see: high-turnover hospitality rooms, farm-driven millipede and mosquito pressure, and roof rats working the fruit trees. Paradise Pest Solutions is a Key Largo company 30 minutes down the road; we're through Florida City more than any other mainland town. We bring the same inspection-first approach we use in the Keys, with a written price before any work starts.

Pests We Treat in Florida City

Millipedes. Farmland and marsh on three sides means the ground waterlogs fast, and when it does millipedes head for the nearest dry slab by the hundreds — hotel ground floors and home garages alike. We apply an exterior barrier before and during rainy season and show you where conducive areas exist.

Mosquitoes. Florida City and the Redland are where Miami-Dade has had to run aerial spraying in bad summers; between the glades, the canals and the farm ditches there's always standing water nearby. Fogging and barrier treatments for yards, pool decks, hotel grounds and patios; inspections are free.

German roaches. In hotels, motels and restaurants a small roach in the kitchen or a guest room means an indoor infestation, and in hospitality it travels room to room in luggage and carts. We treat, document, and schedule the follow-up before we leave.

Roof rats. Fruit trees, palms and the drainage canals give roof rats cover; hollowed-out fruit and attic noise are the signs. We trap and remove, then seal entry points smaller than a fist.

Ghost ants and big-headed ants. Ghost ants trail across kitchen counters and hotel breakfast areas; big-headed ants pile dirt along sidewalks and parking-lot curbs. Both get bait the colony carries home, plus a perimeter treatment.

American roaches. Palmetto bugs come in from the landscaping and the drainage system after rain. We treat the perimeter and seal the ground-level gaps.
